Erika Gomez
Farmer Mentor (she/her)
Erika Gomez is the owner and operator of La Tía Farm. She grows tomatillos, roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, a variety of hot peppers, cilantro, rosemary, thyme, and marjoram. She uses organic seeds, many of which are rare varieties (especially of hot peppers) that have been saved and passed down from their home country of Mexico.
Erika got involved in agriculture when she moved to the U.S. and worked at Warner’s Nursery for seven years transplanting and potting up plants. She also worked at Bachman’s Nursery, specializing in greenhouse work. Erika first discovered Sharing Our Roots by working as a Community Connector for two growing seasons. She takes great pleasure in helping the community and is excited to mentor other farmers.
