Noemi Carreon

Noemi has lived in Faribault and been actively involved in her community for over 20 years, since moving to Minnesota from Coahuila, Mexico. In that time, she has supported her neighbors with translation services at clinics, led a program for Latinx high schoolers to visit colleges and become enrolled, and helped start the Cannon River Mobile Home Park (CRMHP) Garden.

Noemi is a well-known, trusted, and respected leader in her community, and at the start of 2022 she became our full-time Community Connector in Faribault. Now the manager of the Community Connectors program, Noemi connects area growers looking for land with garden sites we support throughout Northfield, Faribault, and the Sharing Our Roots Farm. She also works with local food access partners to address food insecurity in Rice County.
