Changemaker Field Day

  • Sharing Our Roots 4905 315th Street West Northfield, Minnesota, 55057 United States (map)

Join us at our upcoming field day to learn about cultural agricultural practices, community-based farming, and land restoration with Marbleseed’s 2026 Changemaker - Sharing Our Roots (SOR). In collaboration with Marbleseed, SOR program managers will host a land walk on the Farm to showcase the great work we are doing on our farm, natural lands, and community gardens. Lunch, provided by SOR growers, will highlight the nutritious, cultural, and delicious foods we produce.

Afterwards, SOR farmers will lead two tours. Khalid Elhassan, member of the Sudanese Farming Group, will present on the cultural grazing practices he applies to manage his plot and sheep herd. Following Khalid, Erika Gomez, owner of La Tía Farm, will then present on cultural growing practices from Mexico and her market experience running her own farm business as an immigrant woman.

The day will wrap-up with closing remarks and space for questions and comments. It's sure to be a fun day; you will learn directly from farmers, tour a variety of farming operations, and discover how agriculture & conservation can go hand-in-hand. We would love to see you there, everyone is welcome!
