Join Sharing Our Roots, Clean River Partners, and Minnesota Women in Conservation as we collect a variety of seeds from prairie habitat. Prairie seed collection is essential for restoring and maintaining the ecological health of prairies, which are among the most threatened habitats. Collecting seeds allows for the propagation of native plants, ensuring genetic diversity and resilience within restored prairie ecosystems. This practice also provides valuable learning opportunities about prairie plants and their life cycles.
