Carlos Rosales
Farmer Mentor (he/him)
Carlos Rosales is originally from Mixco, Guatemala. Although he grew up near Guatemala City, his interest in agriculture began at a young age and led him to study at ENCA, Guatemala’s National School of Agriculture. He later earned a degree in Agribusiness Administration from Zamorano University and a Master of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Carlos is passionate about sustainable agriculture, local food systems, rural development, and the relationship between farming, community, and the environment. His background includes agricultural research, data analysis, extension-related work, and experience in both academic and industry settings.
He came to Sharing Our Roots to learn more about alternative and sustainable agriculture while supporting farmers and community-based food systems. Carlos is excited to work alongside growers, learn from their experiences, and contribute to a mission centered on land stewardship, food, and community.
Outside of work, Carlos enjoys dancing, cooking, spending time outdoors, and connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
